what do a chalky shake and a homemade açaí bowl have in common?


I want to thank my dear nor cal friend for inspiring me this week with all our traded voice memos on Acai Bowls and chalky tasting shakes.

I called first and told her I was drinking this absolutely disgusting shake.

(I usually put beef protein isolate protein powder in my shakes, but I was out so I used an unflavored pea protein one.) 😬

Reader, it was very awful.

Mis-take noted. We will not be using using that recipe again (also brain thinking it needs more fruit ETC)!

My friend then responds with how she was craving an açaí bowl specifically the acai, crunch, nut butter.

She got all the ingredients, and "made" the recipe.

And just ended up with a sloppy mess that needed to be converted into a shake.

Womp Womp.

That made me think about all the daily life choices you make - from small to big - and how sometimes you try something and it does NOT go as planned.

The recipe fails. The conversation goes sideways. You miss a workout. You decide you or your child can do one more activity in a day/ in a week and then you are all overtired and overstimulated.

*But you are anti-fragile, you see these mis-takes or failures as opportunities for growth.

You look at them in a curious way and see if you were to do them again, what would you change.

YOU TAKE A BREATH. YOU CELEBRATE WHAT WENT WELL. (also what needs work)

then you GROW AND EVOLVE from this place.

All our choices and their results are an opportunity to win or learn and learning is also winning!

So what will you do differently today, what will you try that you have not tried before:

listening to your intuition

going to bed earlier and waking up earlier to crush your morning bookend

reaching out to an old friend

a new recipe 😆
